Description

The University of Maine at Farmington (UMF) is seeking nonresidential Academic Instructors to be part of the 2025 UMF Summer Upward Bound (UB) Program. This is an exciting opportunity to engage with high school students in innovative and creative ways. Instructors will teach in key subject areas including math science English world languages and career and college development. The role offers the chance to not only advance students academic knowledge but also foster skills that support longterm successencouraging new learning approaches perseverance and the development of habits that will serve them in higher education and beyond.

Compensation: This parttime seasonal position offers a weekly salary of $574.00. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with one day per week extending to 2:00 p.m. for a staff meeting. This position is grantfunded and contingent upon the continued availability of external funding.

Summer program dates: June 17 2025 through July 25 2025. Instructors are required to commit to a minimum of six 6 weeks with the possibility of an additional week.
