Senior SIGINT Systems Engineer
KBR is seeking a Senior SIGINT Systems Engineer to be part of our team supporting our customer in Chantilly VA that delivers missioncritical capabilities directly supporting intelligencegathering missions from overhead systems. We command spacecraft and process the resulting collected data into useful information distributed to US Government Intelligence Community and Military users.
The Senior SIGINT Systems Engineer serves as an advisor to support the Government in defining new mission requirements performing classic Systems Engineering subtasks such as Requirements Configuration Management Integration Verification Validation and Test (IVV&T) Risk and Readiness. This position envisions representing the Government team and working with development contractors in performing all aspects of agile software development CI/CD pipelines and deployment of mission software to support operations. The Enterprise embraces innovation and agile software development in a relentless effort to meet intelligence needs and shorten the timelines to provide actionable critical information to US Government decisionmakers. This position will advise the US Government in support of critical missions in SIGINT COMINT FISINT and ELINT.
This position is contingent upon contract award
Specific responsibilities may include:
Define SIGINT requirements
Develop and coordinate CONOPS of SIGINT mission planning and scheduling systems
Write and translate requirements into Epics/Features based on emerging customer needs
Master an understanding of systemtosystem interfaces and function as an integrator
Direct performance assessments using evaluation criteria and technical performance measures
Monitor system and segment schedules recognizing dependencies
Identify and analyze risks and opportunities and develop plans of action to streamline mission success
Facilitate readiness release planning events and demonstrations in support of system and acquisitionlevel sprints and increments
Review Request for Changes (RFCs) and identify impacts in addition author RFCs for the customer
Support Agile and DevOps automated test and verification
Integrate new systems and initiatives in support of expanded SIGINT mission planning and scheduling capabilities working directly with our developers and users in operations
Interfacing with operations engineering and mission partner teams
Providing decision support engineering process consultation technical meeting coordination and leading the development of initial recommendations for Government decisionmakers
Leading studies looking at the future generation of SIGINT capabilities spanning the next decade
Demonstrate strong familiarity with overall SIGINT ground customer technical familiarity with mission control and/or processing of one or more SIGINT systems
Identifying user needs and/or information gaps then assess analyze and present viable solutions to customer
Minimum qualifications:
Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Bachelors degree in STEM or related field (Masters degree preferred)
10 years of experience in SIGINT systems engineering
Expertise with systemtosystem interfaces and integration
Strong knowledge of SIGINT mission planning and scheduling systems
Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies
Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders and development teams
Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
