Job Description
Epson a $10B global leader in highquality consumer electronics imaging and point of sale printing devices is seeking an exceptional Transportation Analystto join our Logistic and Supply Chainteam.You will be responsible for supporting Supply Chain Operations in the areas of domestic and international freightalong with providing financial and service analysis on logistics and distribution activities to assist in management decisions.This position will be based out of our Carson location.
Principal Accountabilities
In addition to the following Epsons policies and procedures principal accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Transportation Analysis and Reporting
- Provides analysis of transportation and distribution activity (e.g. on time performance cost competitiveness etc. in support of supply chain directives.
- Performs transportation cost analysis to monitor costs and identify saving opportunities.
- Analyzes shipping trends (e.g. average shipment size lanes of distribution volume etc. and makes recommendations for action.
- Monitors and reports carrier vendor service performance on outbound shipments to customers.
- Validates customer chargeback claims on transportation related violations and follows up with vendor if corrective action is needed.
- Prepares monthly and quarterly financial reports identifying transportation costs and shipping trends.
- Arranges transportation services for special requests from internal customers.
- Prepares ad hoc reporting and analysis.
- Supports the Distribution Centers and Supply Chain Operations with Carrier selections claims and Outbound shipments
- Participates in Carrier performance business reviews and recommends process improvements.
- Review Rate Quotes from carriers and work within guidelines to minimize increases
Required Skills & Experience:
- Requires some specialist or admin experience 2 5 years)
- Experience within a corporate environment
- Completion of an undergraduate degree or equivalent experience (B.A or B.S)
- Strong experience with Excel
- Experience with Power PI preferred
