Job Description
A SIGN ON BONUS OF $4668 IS AVAILABLE FOR THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT OF THIS POSITION PAID IN 2 INSTALLMENTS WITHIN 12 MONTHS OF HIRE : $2334 WITHIN 30 DAYS OF HIRE DATE & $2334 12 MONTHS AFTER HIRE DATE . Performs preventive maintenance on a variety of equipment installs and repairs electrical systems and components from the load side of the service transformer to the last device. Responds to daily emergency calls as applicable and keeps lead person and supervisor well informed of daily work progress.
Required Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Demonstrated journey level experience in the electrical trade. Ability to read and interpret complex schematic drawings/blueprints on building systems and equipment; and ability to report to work in support of essential (mandatory) University operations even when adverse weather or other emergency conditions such as a public health emergency may require the University to close. Must possess a valid NC Drivers License or be able to obtain one prior to start date.
Preferred Qualifications Competencies And Experience
Progressive experience in the electrical field ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and blueprints and experience working under NFPA70E requirements and the National Electrical Code.
Work Schedule
Monday Friday 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m. or Four days per week 8:00 a.m. 6:30 p.m.
