Job Description

Solution Architect Microsoft/Azure SAFe Agile Hybrid Baseline Clearance

Location: Any major city in Australia (Sydney Melbourne Brisbane Canberra Adelaide Perth Darwin Hobart)

Security Requirement: Australian Citizenship with Baseline Security Clearance

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to join a largescale government digital transformation program. This role operates within a SAFe Agile Release Train (ART) environment and plays a key part in enabling secure scalable and integrated solutions that align with organisational architecture standards and strategic objectives.

You will work collaboratively with stakeholders product teams and other architects to design solutions that deliver measurable business value and meet performance regulatory and security standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to understand requirements and define fitforpurpose technical solutions
  • Design endtoend enterprisegrade solutions aligned with architectural standards principles and business strategy
  • Develop and maintain architectural documentation including high and lowlevel solution designs and data flow diagrams
  • Provide ongoing technical leadership and direction to development teams across the solution lifecycle
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies frameworks and patterns that support scalable and secure delivery
  • Ensure architecture alignment with enterprise strategy regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Participate in governance forums architecture reviews and design assurance activities
  • Support continuous improvement and optimisation of solutions based on feedback KPIs and evolving needs
  • Contribute to Agile Release Train events Communities of Practice and delivery planning (PI Planning)

Personnel Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate:

  • Several years experience in a solution architecture role within enterprisescale software delivery
  • Demonstrated experience working in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft and Azure ecosystems including .NET Azure integration components Azure DevOps and security frameworks
  • Experience producing architectural artefacts (solution overviews design diagrams interface specs) using recognised modelling standards (e.g. UML ArchiMate)
  • Familiarity with integration cloudnative services microservices architecture and APIfirst designs
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps CI/CD and modern deployment patterns
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills both technical and nontechnical
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or certifications (e.g. TOGAF Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect)
