Position Overview and Job Duties
Under the supervision and general direction of the CISO & IT Director Info Security the AI Specialist will play a pivotal role in leveraging artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance teaching learning and administrative processes for the University. This position will involve researching developing and implementing AIdriven solutions to improve efficiency effectiveness and student outcomes. Works closely with crossfunctional teams to conceptualize design test and deploy AI projects that drive innovation. Helps with solutions to problems that may arise in an expeditious efficient and timely manner. Responsible for performing job duties in accordance with the mission vision and values of the University of Central Oklahoma.
Responsible for the integration of AI technologies into existing software and cloud services ensuring that these solutions are secure ethical and effectively utilized to improve efficiency and outcomes across the university. This position will be a AI Specialist with general responsibility in identifying and configuring AI platforms and tools to meet university goals and objectives. Coordinates with other OIT departments for integration and connectivity.
Qualifications/Experience Required
Bachelors degree plus 1 year experience in artificial intelligence machine learning data science or other relevant field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge of enterprise tools for Artificial Intelligence their configuration and use across an enterprise setting.

Must possess strong customer service and interpersonal skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect organize disseminate and present significant amounts of information with an attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to Communicate complex AI concepts and findings to nontechnical stakeholders in a clear and understandable manner. Ability to facilitate team interaction and client meetings effectively. Ability to work independently or with specialized group and maintain courteous attitude in dealing with students faculty and staff. Manage and prioritize work effectively with minimal supervision. Proficient with Microsoft Office Professional. Continually updates skills and knowledge relative to the position and the technology industry. Adheres to and complies with UCOs shared values and the Office of Information Technologys Code of Ethics. This position may be assigned 24x7x365 oncall rotation responsibilities and requires the successful candidate to have highspeed internet access to their residence and maintain a smart phone on which to receive telephone calls email SMS messages from servers and authorized OIT personnel.
