About the Job:
The Senior Facility Operations Specialist serves as a subject matter expert in facilities engineering architecture and project management.
Job Summary:
This position involves planning scheduling and executing facility transformation plans maintenance and improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a subject matter technical expert for project management related to facilities engineering architecture and management to include detailed technical knowledge of applicable facility regulatory requirements and utility infrastructure systems (structural architectural plumbing mechanical electrical civil and safety).
- Plan schedule and execute facility transformation plans and projects concerned with research analysis evaluation completion of facilities and engineering management programs involving operations maintenance repair and construction.
- Serve as office workplace representative in all shortterm and longrange facility planning efforts. Organize and manage implementation of facility maintenance office renovations reconfigurations and furniture & finish installations.
- Direct coordinate and plan work to be accomplished.
- Provide guidance on office moves and reconfigurations including those that require changes in allotted space.
- Develop and implement plans for the performance of preventative maintenance scheduled/ unscheduled work and facility sustainment.
- Initiate action for correction or improvement as needed. Serve as a technical expert and furnish technical suggestions and advice on equipment projects.
- Assist overseeing the maintenance repair construction and operation of all assigned systems and supporting infrastructure. Includes responsibility for work control planning infrastructure facility support and operations.
- Prepare cost estimates covering anticipated expenses for facility/infrastructure repairs maintain repair reports and document all work performed. Conduct life cycle cost analysis to validate costs as required.
- Develop and implement a program to manage recurring work such as repetitive service calls. Publish guidance to building occupants for providing notification of recurring services and requesting unscheduled services.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with DPW and BASOPs to ensure equipment maintenance is performed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Army facilities maintenance and repair operations and related support functions.
- Knowledge of all facility aspects including construction and utility systems such as electrical HVAC plumbing and blueprint reading and interpretation.
- Ability to direct and manage personnel and resources effectively.
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships in overall facilities management.
Required Education:
Bachelor s degree in an Engineering discipline or Engineering Technology from an accredited college/university and 10 years of experience in facility operations.
Clearance:
- US Citizen.
- Final TopSecret Clearance based upon a TIER 5 Background Investigation and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IAW ICD 704
- Some positions or assignments may require a Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph especially those requiring access to TDN2.
