Millcreek of Arkansas was founded in 1988 in response to the overwhelming need for services for emotionally disturbed and developmentally disabled children and adolescents in Arkansas. Since that time we have provided quality care for the children of Arkansas serving severely emotionally disturbed children & adolescents in a 111 bed Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) and developmentally disabled children & adolescents in a 61 bed Intermediate Care Facility for the Intellectually Disabled (ICFIID).

Millcreek is a privately licensed Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) Intermediate Care Facility for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities (ICF/IID) and Special Education School for children and adolescents between the ages of 6 and 17.


Psychiatric patients require care from specialtytrained professionals in a highlyspecialized and qualityfocused environment. We are currently seeking to add a FullTime Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to our skilled and patient focused team.

Responsibilities

Responsible for providing clinical services to patients at the facility.
Practice within medical protocols defined by federal and state regulations as well as by corporate facility policy or procedures.
Review medical information on patients to ensure medical stability and to offer medical recommendations.
Evaluate patients for mental emotional or behavioral disorders.
Treat or direct treatment of patients utilizing a variety of psychotherapeutic methods and medications.
Review and complete medical information for individual care plans documents services and information in a timely manner.
Maintain confidential documentation compliance and billing in accordance with the policy and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Medicine (MD or DO) required.
  • One or more years post graduate degree practice preferred.
  • Current license to practice medicine by the state in which the facility(s) operate.

Licenses/Certifications:

  • Board certification or Board Eligibility 05 years of residency) in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Fellows are also considered.
  • Current DEA credentials to prescribe controlled substances without restrictions and per regulation within the state in which the practitioner will be working.
