Job Description

The position of an Automation Solutions Specialist will be based out of our Orlando FL Location!

Summary
The Automation Solutions Specialist is responsible for designing improving and implementing automated systems to increase the efficiency and productivity of the company and its customers. Will collaborate lead and support internal and external technology and business goals with an emphasis on one or more of the following technologies: PLC (programmable logic controllers) servo (motion control) and VFD (variable frequency Drives) motor control centers (MCC) circuit protection and control sensors and safety independent cart technology service networks software and power depending on your background.

What Youll Do

  • Identify and lead the steps required for customers to go from an as is to a to be state with superior application technology problem solving and/or industry knowledge
  • Use and/or develop skills to collaborate implement support lead and develop the companys business goals
  • Create and consume internal data that supports you and your colleagues business objectives at all levels of the companys business process for the purpose of increasing sales
  • Understand market conditions competitive forces determine market share and identify opportunities for growth
  • Increase market penetration through superior customer success
  • Be fully engaged and responsible for the success of national promotion programs from Rockwell Automation
  • Actively promote our technology and services through participation at local trade shows customer seminars and other local distributor promotions
  • Be an advisor and advocate for appropriate product inventory to provide excellent customer service. Add input on existing levels of inventory and inventory for new products
  • Ensure that demos literature and other sales collateral material related to technology and service systems are up to date and available in sufficient supply to support the needs of the branches and outside sales force
  • Ensure the sales force (inside and outside) has a base level of expertise necessary to support/improve daily sales activity. Implement local training programs to address areas of need
  • Use Power BI and sales central to plan identify execute and adjust target opportunities weekly
  • Use Sales Central/PowerBI and MFG lead systems to measure and drive success regionally
  • Review proposals for completeness and functionality as well as to offer complimentary services and solutions
  • Make decisions independently/collaboratively for the good of the customer and company based on experience and logic
  • Provide feedback to RA Area Managers regarding technical and commercial information new products promotions competition and assistance when required
  • Other duties as assigned
