You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailLipscomb Academy seeks a creative passionate and teamoriented theatre educator to lead an intentionally Christian theatre program for grades 6 12. This fulltime faculty member will partner with the grades 6 12 Director of Theatre to teach theatre classes direct or support extracurricular productions and participate fully in school life including duties assigned to all faculty members.
Responsibilities:
Teach theatre courses covering topics such as acting directing stagecraft and theatre history.
Assist with 4 extracurricular productions 2 middle school and 2 high school) which may involve serving as director technical director or coordinating guest directors.
Support all departmental productions and manage theatre equipment and resources.
Mentor students in both performance and technical roles promoting their growth and leadership in productions.
Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and creativity.
Provide timely constructive feedback on student performance.
Assist with theatrerelated clubs and student organizations.
Skills and Experience:
Proficiency in acting directing stagecraft costuming lighting and all technical aspects of production.
Strong time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Effective communication and professionalism with students parents and staff.
Experience with budget management and frontofhouse operations.
Background in improvisation creative drama techniques and digital tools for theatre production.
This role requires availability for evening and weekend rehearsals and performances to ensure the success of productions.
