Job Description

Position TitleUrban and Environmental Planning & Policy NTT Vacancy PoolAbout the University

Our programs emphasize engaged pedagogies and critical perspectives. We encourage and collaboratively work within the nexus of urban/natural/environmental planning and policy. Please refer to theUEPP courses listed in the WWU catalog.
  • Required Qualifications
  • Masters or doctorate in a related field from an accredited institution. Under exceptional circumstances a candidate with a BA or BS and a minimum of 5 years of experience can be considered.
  • Evidence of community designs models exhibitions community service learning and other applied works.
  • Demonstrated abilities in planning and policy history methods applications and theory and related planning and policy fields.
  • Demonstrated continued learning of current and advanced knowledge and practices in planning and policy fields.
  • Demonstrated continued engagement in related discipline and/or professional activity.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate environments that are equitable and inclusive of students faculty and staff with diverse social identities and backgrounds and ability and commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the department.
  • Record of supporting the success of students or professionals traditionally underrepresented in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Teaching research and/or service within the planning and public policy professions.
  • Skill in experiential and critical pedagogies suitable to classroom and/or field settings.
  • Ability to manage field practicum logistics and planning including with community partner organizations or other entities.
  • Successful experience using an online learning management system such as Canvas.

Salary

Starting salary of $1385 per credit. Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
