Location: Mayfield KY
Shift: Weekend (FridaySunday 6am 6pm) Work 36 hours and paid for 40 hours
Compensation: $18$25 per hour based on experience with a $1 shift differential

Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a variety of machines including horizontal mills engine lathes and manual grinders to produce locomotive parts.
- Conduct inspections repairs and maintenance on diesel/electric locomotives ensuring compliance with FRA regulations and AAR standards.
- Utilize precision instruments (e.g. micrometers) to ensure accuracy in machining and maintenance tasks.
- Perform emergency repairs on locomotives including replacing components such as wheels traction motors and air compressors.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals and troubleshoot machinery malfunctions effectively.
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in machining or mechanical repair with a preference for candidates with experience in locomotive diesel or automotive mechanics.
- Technical degree or relevant certifications in Mechanical Engineering or related fields is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problemsolving skills.
- Physical capability to lift 50lbs and work in various environments including tight spaces and outdoor settings.
- Certification in Advanced Welding Techniques and NonDestructive Testing.
- Familiarity with locomotive diesel engine components and advanced mechanical systems.
- Experience operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
