Responsibilities
*This position is for potential upcoming work.
Noblis is seeking experienced professionals to support the navys large enterprise networks. These roles will support critical engineering technical and programmatic efforts in alignment with PEO Digital PMW 205 and NIWC Pacific requirements. Team members will work on the design development implementation and sustainment of Navy IT systems including modernization efforts such as cloud infrastructure and network convergence. Positions require collaboration with government and contractor personnel in a dynamic environment with both CONUS and OCONUS responsibilities.
The Backup & Storage Engineer (Level III and IV) is responsible for designing implementing and maintaining enterprise storage and backup solutions to ensure data integrity availability and resilience within The Navys Large Enterprise Networks.
Key Responsibilities:
Design deploy and maintain enterprise backup and storage systems ensuring high availability and disaster recovery capabilities.
Implement data protection strategies including automated backups replication and archiving solutions.
Optimize storage performance capacity planning and lifecycle management across hybrid environments.
Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity policies including STIGs RMF and data encryption standards.
Troubleshoot and resolve storage and backup issues minimizing downtime and ensuring data integrity.
Collaborate with infrastructure network and security teams to align storage solutions with overall IT modernization efforts.
Required Qualifications
Level III
Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
7 years of IT professional experience.
Compensation: $102500 $160100
Level IV
Bachelors degree in Engineering or a related field.
14 years (Bachelors) of relevant professional experience.
(OR Masters Degree and 10 years)
Compensation: $124000 $193750
- Expertise in enterprise storage and backup management.
- Strong problemsolving skills for performance tuning and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of DoD data management and cybersecurity requirements.
- Must have a Secret clearance.
- Must be a US citizen
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with storage and backup platforms such as NetApp Veritas Pure Storage or Dell EMC.
- Handson experience with data replication deduplication and disaster recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with cloudbased storage architecture and hybrid storage integrations.
- Proficiency in automation tools for backup and storage management.

Compensation at Noblis is determined by various factors including but not limited to the combination of education certifications knowledge skills competencies and experience internal and external equity location clearance level as well as contractspecific affordability organizational requirements and applicable employment laws. The projected compensation range for this positionis based on full time status. For part time or oncall staff compensation is proportionately adjusted based on hours worked. While monetary compensation is important its just one component of Noblis total compensation package.
