Exploring digital mentoring program
Do you love coding and programmingWere looking for a C# Java KotlinPython or JavaScript) proficient to teach their skills and share theirenthusiasm with young adults.
It is common knowledge that we all need a guidinghand when starting out in life. In addition and more so with some than others.Buzzcoding is exploring a digital mentoring program but needs your input. Thiscan be fulfilling at many levels of aspiration for both mentors and mentees.We also have other opportunities in the academy that might suit your careerambition. This includes an independent offer of your digital skills at apersonalized fee on our platform.
KeySkills
C#Java KotlinPython or JavaScript preferred
HTMLCSS C React.js or Django also welcome
- Build apps and websites with participants that theyll be proud of in the future
- Be able to teach technical expertise gauge student progress and share experience of the profession
Students should leave the session withsome foundational knowledge in app development and the tools/resources requiredto create further digital products and/or pursue further education concerningthe knowledge they acquired
- Explore unfamiliar frameworks technologies and software packages with excitement
- Teach and coach the participants with your knowledge
- Show followthrough efficiency and attention to detail
- Manage multiple participants
- Ensure projects are on time and within scope
- Proactively seek out optimization opportunities and recommend ongoing improvements
- Communicate technical solutions to nontechnical audiences
- Teaching/Training experience and qualification e.g. train the trainer
- Passion & enthusiasm for the Technology sector
The program Exploring digital career mentoringscheme will commence in September 2021.
It is designed for the following groupof people:
a) Studentsaged 17 to 35yrs
b) Withoutcoding experience/knowledge
c) Theyare from an underserved community
d) Theyare looking to be inspired by careers in the technology sector
We want you to deliver:
a. Studentsneed to build an app or digital product that is publishable as part of completingtheir program by the final day of engagement with you.
b. Studentsneed to be able to market and present their digital products to their peers orother professionals.
This opportunity is initially for 1 week inSeptember with additional opportunities delivered within a 3month period tosuit your schedule.
Content can be split in combination with deliverybetween remote and physical attendance.
The roles that we seek from developers could includementoring beyond the app assignment or sessional work (Developer/Instructor)with Buzzcoding. Please feel free to book achat via Zoom call at your convenience to discuss available options andpossible remuneration.

DBS Checks conducted for personnel before thestart of employment as per standard.
Fee: 2040 per hour
