Now hiring a Mananger of Behavioral Health!

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Manager of Behavioral Health to be responsible for the strategic oversight and development of innovative programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing behavioral health services across the state. This leadership position will cultivate and maintain robust partnerships with Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) stakeholders and communitybased organizations to drive a comprehensive and integrated approach to behavioral health care. This position will lead the organizations implementation strategy for initiatives focusing on innovation efficiency and improved client outcomes. Ideal Candidate:

  • The candidate in this postiion wil work remote from Albuquerque or surrounding area.
  • Board Certification in Psychiatry psychologist licensed independent social worker LISW professional clinical counselor LPCC or independent marriage and family therapist LIMFT

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree a minimum of seven 7 years of experience in the provision and supervision of treatment service for individuals with mental health and Substance Abuse disorders required.
  • Five 5 years in a leadership role focused on program development.
  • Licensed to provide Behavioral Health services in the State of New Mexico (MD DO RN with Advance Practice Registered Nurse APRN licensure with Board Certification in Psychiatry psychologist licensed independent social worker LISW professional clinical counselor LPCC or independent marriage and family therapist LIMFT) preferred.
  • Must reside in the state of New Mexico.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of innovative behavioral health programs and initiatives to enhance service delivery and accessibility across various populations to ensure that the full array of services geared towards the individual to maintain overall well being and enhance quality of life are available to all members
  • Understand the crisis services and the Behavioral Health crisis resources and systems across the State. Develop and execute strategic plans that align with state and federal behavioral health guidelines ensuring best practices are integrated into services delivery models
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including other MCOs state agencies community organizations (crisis resources in the State and first responders to identify and prioritize behavioral health needs and strategic plan to address gaps in services and develop implement and oversee a comprehensive Behavioral Health crisis continuum for members.
  • Foster a culture of innovation within the organization by promoting evidencebased practices and the adoption of new technologies to improve client care and operational efficiencies
  • Engage with funders and policymakers to advocate for resources and support for strategic initiatives that promote positive health outcomes for all individuals regardless of eligibility
  • Analyze behavioral health data and trends to inform strategic decisions program enhancements and resource allocation aimed at meeting community needs throughout the state and improving service delivery
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and outcomes ensuring continuous quality improvement and alignment with established performance metrics
  • Serve as a key leader in behavioral health initiatives providing guidance and direction across multiple department and teams within the organization
  • Ensure that initiatives support the solution focused and recoveryoriented care model designed to avoid unnecessary hospitalization incarceration disruption of tenure in community setting or placement in a more segregated setting utilizing a trauma informed and responsive care approach
  • Monitor compliance with relevant state and federal regulations contractual obligations and best practices within the behavioral health system
  • Promote cross department collaboration to leverage synergies and develop comprehensive solutions that address the multifaceted needs of the population served
  • Work collaboratively with the Vice President of Magellan Health to develop maintain and maximize a regional behavioral health system of care (including individuals institutions and facilities in statewide network)
  • Actively work to strengthen the system of care progressively serving an increasing number of members with the goal of reducing the inappropriate use of EDs for primary MH and SUD services and improving linkage and engagement in appropriate MH and SUD follow up treatment for those who present in EDs
  • Oversee the development of detailed policies and procedures and flowcharted process for all newly implemented behavioral health services and programs.
