Job Description
Essential Duties / Responsibilities:
- Prompt recognition greeting and seating of guests with a smile using established service standards.
- Ability to learn restaurant seating layout how tables are divided into server areas and how to deliver food.
- Balance the needs of our reservations and walkin Guest through accurate quote times. Follow proper seating procedures and maintain crowd control.
- Assist in delivering excellent hospitality service by maintaining the overall flow of the restaurant.
- Ability to complete sanitation practices at the front door and lobby area.
- Presents menu in a consistent manner while providing the highest quality of service.
- Sets tables with appropriate silverware; maintains neat and clean workstation.
- Communicates with restaurant personnel to ensure that guests needs are met.
- Follows safe food handling and proper hygiene practices.
- Ability to learn restaurant menu and answer guest questions regarding menu items being delivered and explain the Progressive Wine List.
- Adheres to workplace safety standards for operating and maintaining equipment and reports any equipment malfunction to management immediately.
- Performs opening and/or closing side works according to established checklists.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Education/Previous Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and effectively communicate information individually and in small group situations to customers and coworkers. Ability to understand the English language both written and verbal.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add subtract multiply and divide.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply reasonable understanding in carrying out instructions in written oral or diagram form.
