Job Description

Employment Legal Director FullTime Hybrid

Salary: From 80000

Our client is offering an exciting opportunity to join a growing Employment team with a superb reputation particularly in the education sector. The team provides expert employment advice combining commercial and practical solutions for employers and senior employees across various industries with a special focus on the education sector. This role is ideal for someone looking to step into a leadership position within a dynamic supportive team.

The Opportunity:

As the Employment Legal Director you will play a key role in providing highquality legal services to clients on both contentious and noncontentious employment matters particularly for education clients. You will also supervise junior team members and support them in handling large complex cases. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in clientfacing environments and is eager to further develop their career.

Key Responsibilities:

Handling complex employment matters both independently and with supervision

Managing and building your own caseload of clients

Attending client meetings and offering tailored legal advice

Drafting documents letters and contracts that meet individual client needs

Taking a proactive approach to business development and client relationship management

Representing clients in disputes and Employment Tribunals when necessary

Instructing Counsel and preparing papers for court and Tribunal proceedings

Providing training to clients on employmentrelated issues

Supporting and supervising junior fee earners delegating tasks as appropriate

What You Will Need:

Previous experience in employment law preferably within private practice

Experience working with education sector clients is desirable

Proven supervisory experience is highly valued

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

A proven track record of successful business development initiatives

Enthusiasm for working in a fastpaced growing environment

A personable and professional approach with the ability to work with a diverse range of clients

Benefits & Agile Working:

Our client embraces agile working offering a flexible and blended approach to where and how you work. Regular travel to the Birmingham office is required as most of the team is based there but you will have the flexibility to work from home.
