The veterans in Jackson Mississippi need your help. It is a low acuity facility. As an Emergency Medicine Physician at Jackson VA you will not handle Trauma or Peds. The most common diagnosis are chest pains Gastroenteritis and COPD Exacerbations. To paint a clearer picture if you are looking for a slower paced less aggressive ER environment the Jackson VA is your best bet. Position Highlights: Outpatient environmentEmphasis on worklife balance Freedom from oncall responsibilities Double physician coverage from 10am to 7pmMinimum 12 shifts per monthSet reimbursement/No fluctuation in incomeIntegrated EMRModern equipment and facility Compliant patient population who are truly appreciative of the care they receiveRequirements:Any state medical licenseBoard Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency MedicineExperience working in an Emergency Room setting 12 months within the last 24 monthsDEA and Controlled Substance LicensedCurrent BLS & ACLS life support certificationsProvide 3 references
