Job Summary:
If you are an experienced Software Development Engineer in Testlooking for an opportunity to grow Emerson has a great opportunity for you!You will lead and participate with a small team through the design and implementation of test automation software for worldclass pressure and temperature measurement devices. Our products deliver highly accurate pressure and temperature measurements with unmatched reliability to help customers in a variety of industries. In this role you will get to work with engineers from multiple global sites and leverage their combined knowledge to achieve the program objectives. In This Role Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Provide projectbased technical leadership
- Closely collaborate with firmware developers
- Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle from requirements definition through postrelease activities
- Present status updates and metrics to management
- Plan test effort and develop test strategies for test automation 90 and manual testing 10
- Plan lead and implement software test development activities including:
- Creation of software test architecture
- Development of software test requirements including elicitation analysis and documentation
- Oversee and implement the test development process including designs reviews and implementation (C#
- Performing extensive peer reviews
- Creation and of validation tests
- Carry out continuous improvement to the software test processes
Who You Are :
You relate comfortably with people across levels functions cultures and geography. You are a selfmotivated teamoriented individual who can set and achieve goals. You are interested in learning problem solving and collaboration. You work with other functional groups that includes Firmware Design and User Interface Software.
For This Role You Will Need:
- Having experience of 5 to 7 years in Software testing with embedded firmware systems in microcontrollerbased Pressure & Temperature Transmitter products and prototype verification
- Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent experience in Electronics / Electronics & Telecommunication / M. Sc. Electronics with a focus on programming
- Knowledge and experience with agile development methodologies
- Ability to meet with global engineering team
- Experience working in geographically distributed teams
- Firmware lead experience
- Azure DevOps or similar tool experience
- Knowledge and experience with serial communication protocols like SPI I2C USB etc
- Cybersecurity and SIS product development experience (e.g. IEC61508 IEC62443
- Experience with objectoriented programming
- Strong critical thinking and problemsolving skills
Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:
- Masters degree or equivalent experience is preferred
