Job Description
We are seeking a talented individual who Shares our focus and dedication for those we serve and support. This is a role that is key for service delivery within our Personal Care area and designed to truly make a difference in the lives of Adults that are served improving the quality of life and connection to community.
Responsibilities:
Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing dressing grooming and toileting.
Provide assistance with mobility transfers and positioning as needed.
Support clients with meal preparation feeding and dietary requirements.
Engage clients in meaningful activities and companionship to promote socialization and mental stimulation.
Maintain a clean and organized environment for clients including light housekeeping duties.
Communicate effectively with clients their families and other members of the care team to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols maintaining a safe and hygienic environment at all times.
Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as a Personal Care Aide or similar credential preferred.
Previous experience in a caregiving role preferably in a home care or assisted living setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles including personal care hygiene and mobility assistance.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with clients and their families with empathy and respect.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
Reliable transportation and valid drivers license preferred.
