Great Bay Community College is seeking qualified applicants who are interested in adjunct teaching at the College on a coursebycourse basis; strong academic background is required.
Semester: Spring 2025 Semester
Adjunct Faculty: Veterinary Technology
The instructor will instruct supervise and mentor veterinary technology students as they rotate through a 2day surgery rotation. The instructor will provide opportunities and instruction for students to complete a list of specific surgery and anesthesia skills. The instructor will document completion of skills and complete an evaluation of the student at the end of the rotation.
The instructor must be a licensed veterinarian or a credentialed veterinary technician who has graduated from an AVMA CVTEA accredited veterinary technology program.
The instructor will communicate with the department chair regularly and follow departmental policies. The instructor will participate in training for essential skill assessment of students following standardized criteria.

Adjunct appointments are temporary for a specified contract period and may require in classroom or online instruction.
The compensation rate is $800$950 per contact hour or $47.95 $59.45 per clinical rate per hour if applicable. Compensation will be determined based on the appointed adjunct faculty rank which is based on education and industry and/or teaching experience.
The minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:
Education: Associate Bachelor or Doctorate degree from a regionally accredited college or university in Veterinary Medicine/Technology awarded by an AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) or AVMA CVTEA (Committee on Veterinary Technician Education and Activities) accredited program.
Experience: Three 3 years teaching experience in veterinary science/technology and/or three 3 years industry experience as a credentialed CVT LVT or RVT (Certified Licensed or Registered Veterinary Technician) or as a licensed Veterinarian in a small or mixed animal veterinary hospital.
Licensure: The instructor must be a credentialed veterinary technician who has graduated from an AVMA CVTEA accredited veterinary technology program or a licensed veterinarian.
