Who are we looking for
We are looking for an Electrical Engineering Team Lead with 1015 years of experience in the consulting industry for related market sectors such as: Water/Wastewater Energy and Resources Environment and Property and Buildings. In this role you will lead a design team of electrical and I&C engineers and designers throughout the region. This role can be based in either Bowie MD or Chantilly VA.

Working with an energetic and high performing team this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:
- Working collaboratively with Project Managers Business Development leaders and the EDO Business Group Leader to deliver design projects and develop our technical resources and capabilities
- Providing technical advice and mentorship to the electrical team for a variety of electrical power generation distribution and utilization systems required for waterworks industrial and Federal projects
- Reviewing design outputs calculations design briefs and technical reports and detailed design in accordance with industry standards and GHDs quality systems
- Supporting the development of new markets/market sectors in your specialty; provide support for critical business development initiatives
- Supporting proposal preparation and related activities
- Demonstrate and promote project delivery skills by working with project directors and coordinators as well as unidisciplinary and multidisciplinary teams
- Actively participating in client professional and industry events to promote the GHD brand
- Potentially act as a project manager or project director on relevant projects
- Contributing to the ongoing GHD design practice standardization across the region and nation
What you will bring to the team:
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering
- Professional Engineer license in Maryland; PE license in additional States is a plus
- 1015 years of electrical engineering experience in the consulting industry for related market sectors such as Water/Wastewater Energy and Resources Environment and Property and Buildings
- Experience in managing teams to develop mentor and lead professional technical staff
- Knowledge and proven experience in project delivery including Federal projects
- Proven understanding of NFPA 70 (NEC) and other electrical industry codes standards and recommended practices
- Familiarity with ETAP or SKM computerassisted electrical power study programs including shortcircuit protective relaying coordination and arcflash studies
- Ability to manage priorities and develop team resources
Salary range: $144000 $216000 based on experience
