Lead Experience
Proficiency in Python
Responsibilities to include but not be limited to the following :
Implement and Deploy end-to-end lab testbed based on provided requirements: Lead network engineering pods in implementing and deploying end-to-end lab testbeds providing technical oversight to ensure scalability and alignment with Metas data center standards (e.g. spine/leaf BGP/OSPF/VXLAN).
Vendor shall provide qualified network engineers to support installation and decommissioning of cabinets and network equipment: Oversee vendor-provided network engineers ensuring efficient installation and decommissioning of cabinets and equipment and standardize processes across pods for reliability.
Verify/troubleshoot connectivity and device health of network devices: Guide pods in verifying and troubleshooting connectivity and device health mentoring on the use of tools like Wireshark and Iperf to diagnose and resolve network issues.
Build maintain and/or reconfigure lab equipment to support the requirements for the lab teams: Direct the building maintenance and reconfiguration of lab equipment ensuring pods deliver consistent high-quality testbed setups to meet lab team requirements.
Develop Test Automation scripts troubleshoot network protocols testbeds and executing test campaigns: Drive the development of advanced test automation scripts using Python and Ansible oversee troubleshooting of network protocols and testbeds and lead execution of test campaigns fostering automation best practices across pods.
Configure IPv4/IPv6/Ethernet networking of various elements that are parts of E2E testbeds such as mobile devices switches routers wireless/cellular equipment servers including ports firewall ACL NAT rule configuration: Lead pods in configuring IPv4/IPv6/Ethernet networking for E2E testbeds including mobile devices switches routers wireless/cellular equipment and servers ensuring robust port firewall ACL and NAT rule configurations.
Configure linux-based systems such as servers compute database systems that are part of E2E testbeds and to inter-network the E2E lab test beds with enterprise systems production systems and internet access: Oversee configuration of Linux-based systems (servers compute databases) within E2E testbeds guide inter-networking with enterprise production and internet systems and train pods in Linux administration.
Develop test scripts to extract networking related metrics from devices protocols database tables via for example API query/calls WebSocket interfaces and Android/adb: Direct the development of test scripts to extract networking metrics via API queries WebSocket interfaces and Android/adb ensuring pods produce actionable data insights.
Assist in maintaining additional lab infrastructure such as compute and storage systems monitoring systems test equipment: Oversee maintenance of lab infrastructure (compute storage monitoring test equipment) standardizing processes to enhance reliability across pods.
Synthesize and compare test results from test campaigns and prepare output reports in presentable format: Lead synthesis and comparison of test campaign results prepare presentable output reports and ensure pods deliver consistent high-quality reporting for stakeholders.
Support Staffing and Hiring: Collaborate with hiring managers to define technical requirements conduct interviews and evaluate candidates for network engineering roles ensuring alignment with Metas technical needs.
Support Mobilization and Training: Design and implement technical training programs to upskill or cross-skill pod members in network automation (e.g. Python Ansible) protocol testing (e.g. Wireshark Iperf) and Linux administration fostering continuous learning.
