Kemper Scholars Internship Program
Kemper Scholars internships will enable you to broaden your understanding of the business make valuable connections and set a course for your professional journey with us. You will work on special projects that positively impact our business and our customers. Kemper is looking for students who love to problem solve and are willing to make reallife impact on projects that may involve the senior executives to frontline associates. We deliver meaningful experiences in various internship areas like Product Development Claims Operations Finance IT Data Analytics and much more. Are you ready to create your own journey by joining ours This is a 10week paid internship offering challenging projects that support Kempers strategic priorities.
Kemper interns will be exposed to the following concepts and experiences:
- Grow Portfolio Process Optimization: partner with portfolio analyst to identify efficiencies and in portfolio demand intake and optimize tracking methodologies.
- Dashboards & Analytics: partner with portfolio analyst to improve reporting through dashboards.
- Documentation: partner with portfolio team and business process engineer to map and update end to end existing portfolio processes.
- Design: partner with portfolio team to design and document new portfolio process for claims grow data items.
- Communication: create materials to share and educate internal stakeholders on team functions and resources.
- Exposure & Shadowing: meet with key leaders in the department with wide exposure to multiple business groups. Shadow tenured professionals to better understand operations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (MUST HAVE):
- Junior or Senior status enrolled at University of Chicago Northwestern University University of WisconsinMadison or University of Notre Dame.
- Qualifying majors in an academic area related to financial services or insurance industry such as finance data analytics information technology computer science economics communications accounting or business administration.
- Nonbusiness majors are welcome if strong interest in financial services and/or insurance industry.
- A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale.
- This position is a hybrid role and may require work in the office 34 days a week.
- This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
The hourly rate for this opportunity is $22.00.
