Position: Food Server/ Runner
Department: Food and Beverage

Position Summary:
The food server is responsible for all aspects of the guest dining experience. With prompt service and genuine hospitality the food server greets tables describes menu items assists guests with making food and beverage selections takes and rings in orders delivers food and beverages maintains table cleanliness anticipates guest needs and responds appropriately with a sense of urgency carefully collects and processes payments assists team members and contributes to the overall satisfaction of every guest.
Knowledge and Abilities:
1. General food wine and beer knowledge.
2. Ability to multitask work in a team environment and handle stressful situations.
3. Ability to anticipate guest needs and handle difficult customer service situations.
4. Sequence of service and ability to prioritize job duties.
5. Clean the dinning and porter area.
6. Ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
7. Knowledge of Hualapai tourism offerings Hualapai history and culture.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for all aspects of the guest experience.
2. Greet tables in a timely manner and welcome guests to the restaurant. Inquire about any time restraints the guests may have.
3. Menu knowledge make suggestions and accommodate allergies diets or specific guest needs.
4. Be knowledgeable about all menu items menu changes or specials.
5. Accurately take and ring in orders with an emphasis on expediting service as much as possible.
6. Deliver food and beverage orders.
7. Maintain cleanliness of table with attention to detail.
8. Maintain running side work duties.
9. Identify guests needs or issues and address or include a manager.
10. Properly capture payments and process credit cards.
11. Know table numbers and dining room layout.
12. Clear and reset tables.
13. Perform other workrelated duties as assigned.


Qualifications:
1. At least 2 years of previous experience. High volume/upscale dining preferred.
2. Excellent customer service and oral communication skills.
3. Experience with wine service.
4. Experience with POS systems cash handling and credit card processing.
5. Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. as needed.
6. Willingness to learn and receptive to constructive feedback.
7. Current Food Handlers card.
8. At least 18 years of age.
9. May require Alcohol Certification to both sell and serve alcohol.
10. Preference given to Hualapai Tribal members.
Working Conditions:
High volume fastpaced teamoriented restaurant environment. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to work varying schedules weekends and holidays.

Applicant must pass a preemployment drug screen and extensive background check may be required. All applicants are considered without regard to age sex race national origin religion marital status sexual orientation or physical disability. However preference may be given to persons of Indian decent in accordance with Public law 88353 Sectionand Public Law 93638 Section 7B



Grand Canyon Resort Corporation (GCRC) is whollyowned by the Hualapai Tribe and is located in Peach Springs Arizona. In 1988 the Hualapai People who have been part of this land since time immemorial established GCRC welcoming millions of visitors each year to tour the area. The year 1883 is when the reservation was established and occupiers are usually foreign to the land they occupy. To further increase tourism in the area the Grand Canyon Skywalk was built in 2007. The Skywalk is a glass horseshoeshaped bridge that enables visitors to walk beyond the canyon walls at Grand Canyon West suspending them 4000 feet above the riverbed and providing an unparalleled view of this natural wonder.
