At SafeNest weve been leading the charge to end domestic and sexual violence since 1977. As Nevadas largest nonprofit in this field we support over 20000 clients annually through emergency shelters counseling and advocacy. Your work as our Data Support and IT Director will be at the heart of this mission ensuring that our systems data and technology drive lifechanging services.
This is a leadership role within the agency and it will involve significant datarelated responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Data and Database Management:
- Work closely with management program staff and other stakeholders to determine what data needs to be tracked how often and the best architecture to maintain system integrity and produce the desired results.
- Ensure the system and its entire dataset comply with all legal requirements and funder obligations.
- Identify install and evaluate database management systems and software to determine the most efficient and viable way to organize store track and report data.
- Model design and implement userfriendly automated databases working with end users to find out what information they need to track the periodicity of tracking and the segregation and aggregation requirements of data (e.g. how frequently what categories they need to split it by and what would make it easy to use etc..
- Oversee meticulous quality assurance checks to maintain accurate and reliable data within the CRM.
- Evaluate and optimize data collection methods and analyze processes technologies and vendors continually for improvement.
- Determine staff needs and other responsibilities as it relates to system maintenance data quality and compliance.
Technical Support and Systems Management:
- Monitor MSP to ensure that agency machines have updated installations updates security patches and made necessary changes in a timely manner to ensure the systems security integrity and compatibility with other platforms.
- Ensure tickets are addressed and resolved in a timely manner.
- Analyze departmental needs identify vulnerabilities and boost productivity efficiency and accuracy to inform business decisions.
- Prepare costbenefit analyses for necessary upgrades and manage vendor relationships to ensure theyre offering the best possible service and value.
- Develop and implement automated forms workflows and notification systems using SharePoint to streamline processes and enhance organizational responsiveness.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Information Technology Computer Science or related field.
- Five or more years of experience managing departments.
- Five or more years of experience in data analysis and report development.
- Knowledge of programming languages operating systems (e.g. Microsoft Exchange Active Directory) current technologies SQL servers.
- Strong creative and analytical thinking skills.
