As a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic CNS Healthcares mission is to serve the people of our communities.The Mental Health Specialist Adult Services is a transitionary role for graduates of eligible masters level programs who are not yet licensed. The Mental Health Specialist Adult Services role serves as an interim placement to provide therapeutic services to individuals in the Adult Outpatient Therapy program through individual family and group modalities on an outpatient basis under the supervision of a licensed professional. The Adult Outpatient Therapy program services help people work through their thoughts and feelings learning new coping skills to reach their goals through a variety of different therapy modalities and other evidencebased practices.
Compensation Range:
The starting pay for this position is $57600 $74400 for limited licensed candidates and $61850 $80150 annual salary for fully licensed candidates and is based on nondiscriminatory factors such as skills and experience.

General Responsibilities
- Provide Office and CommunityBased care management services.
- Provide services that are consistent with principles of primary and behavioral health integrated care.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of mental illness medications used in treating psychiatric disorders and knowledge and experience with other interventions used to treat psychiatric disorders.
- High level of interpersonal and problemsolving skills.
- Ability to work well independently and coordinate care with other staff and/or departments.
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and effectively interact with agency personnel external clients and diverse community groups. Utilizes a traumainformed approach to deliver
- Match prevention intervention and resolution techniques to the specific circumstances of each individual as needed. Identify and use effective advocacy strategies to address and overcome diverse challenges facing Individual (e.g. human rights legal administrative and financial).
- Use motivational interviewing strategies to engage and service Individuals.
- Ability to share and teach about the symptoms of substance use disorders that are similar to those of other medical and/ or psychological disorders and how these disorders interact.
- Coordinate and collaborate with primary and specialty care physicians community health agencies and other health care providers.
- Providing education about and monitoring adverse reactions to medications
Functional/Essential Position Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Person Centered Plans for Individuals consistent with guidelines established by all funding and accrediting entities.
- Respond to the needs desires and interests of Individuals utilizing formal and informal assessment practices.
- Establish a collaborative relationship with Individuals using the range of effective communication strategies and skills necessary.
- Gather and interpret information about substance use dependence or other addictive behaviors and developing treatment plans based on stage of change for identified problems and needs implementing stage wise interventions.
- Demonstrate and actively promote an understanding and commitment to the mission and values of CNS Healthcare through performing behaviors consistent with the Organizational Code of Ethics.
- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable Federal State and Local laws and regulations the Corporate Compliance Program Code of Ethics as well as other policies and procedures to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest ethical and professional behavior.
Qualifications:
Required
- Masters degree in Social Work Psychology Counseling or related field
- State of Michigan licensure: LimitedLicensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LLMFT) Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) LimitedLicensed Masters Social Worker (LLMSW) Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW) LimitedLicensed Professional Counselor (LLPC) Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) Temporary Limited Licensed Psychologist (TLLP) Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP) or Licensed Psychologist (LP)
- Proficient with computers and Microsoft office products
- Proficient in the use of electronic health records (EHRs)
- Understanding of substance use and cooccurring disorders treatment.
- Working knowledge of conflict resolution crisis intervention personcentered planning and clinical compliance practices.
- Ability to work closely with persons with mental or physical limitations.
- Ability to contribute to an inclusive environment that recognizes the value and contributions of all persons regardless of race ethnicity national origin gender religion age marital status sexual orientation gender identity or disability.
- Ability to write clear concise reports and the ability to formulate and implement an effective treatment plan.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build positive working relationships.
- Ability to apply methods for measuring the multiple variables of treatment outcome and to recognize the importance of collecting and reporting on outcome data.
- Ability to communicate effectively professionally and courteously.
- Ability to use discretion and judgmental when handling matters of a sensitive or confidential nature.
- Advanced time management problem solving customer service interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Preferred
- Experience working with persons who are mentally ill in an office hospital or community setting.
