What You Would Get To Do

The ideal candidate would represent the FIRST brand as a dedicated resource within our Solutions division and assume the role of Event Technology Manager. The Event Technology Manager will be responsible for the high quality operations of technology event websites/apps data management and other analytics.

The Event Technology Manager will consistently deliver exceptional service to our clients through excellent project management and have a great eye and attention to detail.

Your Contributions

  • Implementation and project management of event registration websites app builds and all technological aspects of our events
  • Keep uptodate on all emerging technologies popular culture and trends and ensure team members are informed as well
  • Innovating new technology and how integration will flow between systems
  • Database Management: ensuring consistency of information and generating lists upon request
  • Manage client evaluation communications such as savethedates invitations registration confirmations etc
  • Assist in the development and management of online registration
  • Manage relationships with technology suppliers including the negotiation of contracts
  • Effectively communicate with internal and external clients over the phone in person and via email
  • Work with event Project Managers/Coordinators on overall program logistics production and implementation
  • Database management to ensure consistency of information accurate data inputting new data when required and generating lists and reports upon request
  • Coordinate planning and utilisation of the mobile app. May assist with build depending on platform
  • Be a lead contact for attendee management and technology vendors including preevent and during
  • Responsible for all registration collateral and equipment management
  • Create and distribute post event client surveys
  • Registration desk flow design and set up
  • Review and manage any relevant thirdparty vendor invoice reconciliation e.g. badging / attendee tracking etc
  • Provide insight in to user experience of all preevent and onsite registration for both virtual and inperson events
  • Provide training support to team members on current technology and processes
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally in support of client events
  • Support other members of the department as needed on adhoc projects
  • Act as an ambassador for the FIRST brand leading by example and displaying the companys core values (Ambition Creativity Excellence Integrity Teamwork)

  • Extensive Comprehensive experience required including meeting planning and coordination including event and registration technology
  • Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent practical experience
  • Proficiency with registration website platforms such as Cvent Splash Certain Aventri Eventbrite
  • Experience with virtual meeting and event platforms such as Intrado GlobalMeet / TalkPoint Zoom WebEx SpotMe Concise Chime or other virtual meeting and event platforms
  • Experience in integrating customer relationship management software such as Marketo Salesforce Dealcloud with event registration management systems such as Cvent
  • Proficient programming skills such as computer coding (HTML CSS and/or JavaScript)
  • Highly motivated able to work independently
  • Exhibit strong work ethic patience and a winning attitude
  • Flexible and willing to work outside of normal business hours (evenings weekends) and travel when required to be onsite at events and/or troubleshoot remotely
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office specifically with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Customer focus and approachable demeanour
  • Excellent time managements skills
  • Independent and critical thinker with keen sense of judgement
