Job Description Summary
The Backpack Lab directed by Dr. Andrew Hooyman in the Department of Physical Therapy on Chapmans Irvince campus is looking for a research assistant for the purposes of data support and scientific article review. Dr. Hooymans research is focused on digital motor skill and its relationship to cognitive decline. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with reviewing peerreviewed scientific articles in the areas of aging motor skill and/or cognition. The article review process will emphasize extracting relevant data from a list of articles which will then be used for publication. This is a position that can be 100 remote however their may be instances where Dr. Hooyman will need the candidate to travel to the Rinker Campus.
Responsibilities
Assist in drafting and revision of IRB documents. Assist with literature review specific to motor skill and cognition research Assist with remote data collection from relevant scientific literature Assist with creation and maintenance of a database linked to data collected from scientific articles and related projects.

Familiar with reviewing scientific articles Interest in Motor and Cognitive research Not afraid to communicate when they dont understand something Familiar with data entry
