Job Description
Brains and Motion Education is in search of experienced summer camp Instructors for our Summer Camp programs. If you have experience teaching classes or camps love working with kids and looking for a great work experience over the summer Brains and Motion offers an incredible opportunity in our Summer Camp programs. We provide our industryleading curricula and all needed materials for a fun and engaging camp experience!
Brains and Motion is a leading provider of STEM Arts and Sports for students ages 6 to 14. Our focus is on providing the next generation of leaders and innovators.
In this role you will:
- Instruct and manage a group of up to 1012 campers.
- Utilize your subjectspecific expertise to bring to life curriculum for campers.
- Ensure a fun safe atmosphere that creates memorable experiences for all campers.
- Learn or utilize effective classroom management skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old with demonstrated experience working with children. A minimum of three months (fulltime or equivalent parttime) of verified experience with schoolage children is required.
- Utilize your excellent communication skills to clearly communicate with both campers and their parents.
- Ability to recognize and either quickly resolve or raise up conflicts that may arise between campers.
- Ability to foster the personal growth of all campers and ensure a fun safe and welcome environment.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate with both campers and their parents.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a camp environment.
- Knowledgeable and passionate about coaching and teaching kids
- Ability to work with kids in Grades TK8
- Strong organizational skills
- Reliable transportation
- Valid drivers license
- Background check required.
- Successful candidates must undergo and provide proof of negative TB testing
- Ability to lift and carry 2050 lbs. on an occasional basis with or without accommodations.
- Must be available Monday Friday between 8:00 AM 6:00 PM
- Available fulltime for the entire duration of summer camp starting as early as June and running through August 2024.
