Job Description

Direct Support Professional

$17.00 per hour and up(based on education and experience)

Plus .75 per hour shift differential for 3rd shift!

Fulltime 11pm7am; every other weekend required.

We are a local nonprofit organization founded in 1970 by Louisvillearea parents of people with IDD. What youll do:

The DSP provides general and specialized care and support to each individual. The care and support include activities of daily living productive activities and leisure activities as appropriate. The DSP will provide active treatment safety and supervision to individuals of the lodge while promoting inclusion in the community.

Please note that Cedar Lake Lodge Park Place and Sycamore Run are Intermediate Care Facilities placing us under the CMS Omnibus COVID19 Health Care Staff Vaccination Interim Rule. Under this rule employees must be vaccinated or have an approved medical or religious exemption prior to employment.

Working Conditions

Staffing ratio of 1:3
Daily living
Personal hygiene
Voicing concerns and issues
Support individuals with setting and accomplishing goals
Creating friendships
Provide companionship and supportive listening
Maintain safe environments for individuals
Perform other related duties as assigned.

What sets you apart:

High school diploma or equivalent
Must be 18 years of age with valid Kentucky or Indiana Drivers License & a clean driving record

Preferred Experience

1 year Caregiving
