Job Description

Job Summary

Due to pending retirement we are looking for a Diesel Service Technician to join our growing team! Work would include Light Duty Trucks and Diesel vehicles. The right candidate will have a strong service technician background and be ASE certified. The daytoday duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done. Due to GMs expanded use of Diesel powered vehicles we have plenty of work!

Compensation

  • Hourly flat rate wage range of $45.00 to $50.00 per hour
  • Signon bonus available for the most experienced and qualified candidate
  • Weekly production bonuses
  • Participation with dealer match in the GM Tech Excellence Bonus Program. Potential of $13500 annually and up to 250000 GM rewards points valued at an additional $2500

Responsibilities

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
  • Testdrive vehicles and test components and systems using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
  • Diagnose maintain and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine transmission electrical steering suspension brakes air conditioning etc.
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are informed if any additional service is needed and provide an estimate time needed for additional repairs
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications

  • 2 years of Service Technician experience preferred
  • 2 years Diesel repair and maintenance experience required
  • High School diploma or equivalent ASE Certification required
  • A level qualifications including Diagnostic Electrical and Engine Repair
  • Dexterity requiring a steady hand excellent handeye coordination
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
  • Positive friendly attitude along with an eagerness to improve
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
  • Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
  • Ability to learn new technology repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Valid drivers license and clean driving record
