Partner Staffing is currently working with our client to find atalented and experienced Transportation Engineer to join their team. Our client is a rapidlyexpanding firm with offices across the US and Canada currently establishing aTransportation practice within their Edmontonarea office. The office isactively involved in planning land development and municipal infrastructure projectsthroughout Alberta and other western provinces. The company is committed toproviding professional opportunities that align with individual career goals and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Responsibilities

Support and Growth:

  • Assist in growing anddelivering the existing roads and highways business within Alberta and theWestern Canada Region.
  • Collaborate with U.S.Counterparts on transportation assignments.

Traffic Engineering:

  • Develop Traffic ImpactAssessments traffic modeling traffic controls intersection analysis trafficstudies signal timing intelligent transportation systems and design ofsigning and pavement marking.

Proposal Preparation:

  • Prepare proposal inputsto generate new business from existing or prospective clients.

Project Collaboration:

  • Collaborate withproject teams including subconsultants during the planning design andconstruction phases.

Client Interaction:

  • Engage directly withclients on transportation/traffic aspects of projects.

ProfessionalDevelopment:

  • Stay current withindustry trends best practices and emerging technologies in trafficengineering.

Mentorship andTraining:

  • Mentor and train newtransportation staff providing technical leadership.


Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree inCivil or Transportation Engineering.
  • Experience in leadingand delivering traffic/transportation projects.
  • Knowledge of designstandards (TAC ITE AASHTO Edmonton Capital Region Alberta TransportationEconomic Corridor Alberta MDs and Counties).
  • Familiarity/proficiencywith traffic engineering software.
  • ProfessionalEngineering designation (P.Eng. or P.L. Eng) required.
  • Intermediate or seniorlevel experience in transportation/traffic engineering.
  • Design and planningexperience in various transportation areas.
  • Strong communicationtime management and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to collaboratewith multidisciplinary and remote project teams.
  • Strong writing skillsfor preparing various written materials.
  • Ability to managedeadlines and handle multiple project assignments simultaneously.
  • Valid Alberta DriversLicence.
