Job Description
Summary
The Director Business IT Solutions is a transformative thought leader who is resultsoriented. This role is pivotal in driving technologyenabled solutions to enhance operational efficiency across various business functions and legal practices. This person will lead a team to identify design and implement innovative solutions leveraging Cloud AI/ML technologies and modern software development practices.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with business functions and legal practice areas to understand and address their needs through technology
- Lead a team of Portfolio Managers/Senior Managers in gathering and defining requirements
- Lead the architecture design and development of the solutions to execute the vision and strategy both for the business functions in scope and the legal practice areas
- Implement methodology to track performance of business solutions and monitor effectiveness in partnership with key stakeholders
- Drive digital innovation adoption and user experience initiatives
- Lead strategic transformation and digitization initiatives
Salaries vary by location and are based on numerous factors including but not limited to the relevant market skills experience and education of the selected candidate. Education and/or Experience:
Required:
- A minimum of 15 years in business and IT leadership with a minimum of 5 years experience in digital solutions development
- Bachelors degree and relevant certifications
- Ability to work with full stack application architects in at least one of the following enterprise stacks: .Net Java or Node.js
- Deep understanding of relational database systems such as SQL Server or Oracle
- Familiarity with modern software development best practices such as containerized microservices and REST API
- Familiarity with cloud first development and DevOps techniques in at least one of the following leading cloud providers: Azure AWS or GCP
- Proven ability to lead crossenterprise work streams and develop highperforming teams
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
Preferred:
- Experience working with globally dispersed teams and agile methodologies
- Masters degree in Computer Science Management Information Systems or related disciplines
- Law firm or Professional services industry experience
