The Fund Development department at Heritage Park drives dynamicfundraising initiatives to bring ambitious projects to life enhance programsand preserve the Parks rich history for future generations. Throughhighimpact special events annual campaigns and major capital initiativesthis team is at the forefront of securing vital support. As Heritage Park gearsup for a transformative multimilliondollar campaign aligned with its 20yearmaster plan the department is rallying individual donors corporations andall levels of government to invest in the Parks future. With passion andstrategy they are shaping a legacy that will stand the test of time.

JobOverview:

The Director of CampaignFundraising is a pivotal leadership role at the heart of Heritage Parksmost ambitious fundraising initiative to date. With a multimilliondollarcampaign set to drive the Parks 20year master plan this position offers aunique opportunity to shape the future of one of Canadas most treasuredhistorical sites. With the feasibility study complete and a strategic roadmapin place the focus now shifts to executionengaging highnetworth donorssecuring transformative gifts and driving the campaign forward with energy andvision. The ideal candidate is a seasoned fundraising leader with a proventrack record of building and managing largescale multifaceted campaigns.This is more than just a roleits a chance to leave a lasting legacy.

Responsibilities:

StrategicDirection

Develop and implement a detailed campaignroadmap including phased fundraising strategies.

Monitor industry trends and best practicesto ensure campaign strategies are innovative effective and donorcentered.

Provide leadership and direction to thecampaign team ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

Track and report on campaign performanceoffering datadriven insights to inform decisionmaking.


CampaignDevelopment &

Oversee all aspects of campaign planningincluding prospect research major gift solicitation corporate partnershipsand stewardship strategies.

Create and implement a robust campaignstructure including leadership gift strategies corporate sponsorships namingopportunities and donor recognition plans.

Develop compelling cases for supportdonor proposals and campaign messaging in collaboration with marketing andcommunications teams.

Ensure a donorcentered approach in allinteractions fostering meaningful relationships that lead to longtermsupport.

Lead the preparation and submission ofgrant proposals sponsorship requests and partnership proposals to securelargescale funding.

Provide strategic leadership to theCampaign Cabinet and volunteer committees supporting board members and keystakeholders in fundraising efforts.

Donor& Stakeholder Engagement

Identify cultivate and stewardrelationships with major donors corporate sponsors and community partners tosecure highimpact gifts.

Work closely with board members and seniorleadership to leverage networks and expand the Parks donor base.

Develop and execute donor recognition andstewardship strategies to ensure a positive donor experience.

Partner with the Marketing team to aligncampaign messaging with overall organizational branding and visibility efforts.

Oversee fundraising events and initiativesdesigned to engage donors and promote campaign objectives.

Operational& Financial Management

Develop and manage the campaign budgetensuring financial sustainability and accountability.

Monitor campaign revenue and expensesproviding regular updates to executive leadership and board members.

Ensure compliance with fundraisingregulations and ethical standards including AFPs Donor Bill of Rights.

Establish policies and procedures thatsupport effective campaign operations and reporting.

PeopleLeadership

Provide strategic direction and leadershipto the campaign team fostering a highperformance culture.

Mentor and develop staff ensuringprofessional growth and alignment with organizational goals.

Support team members in achievingindividual and departmental objectives.

Collaborate with HR on recruitmenttraining and performance management initiatives.

Organizational Excellence and Wellbeing

Contribute to inspiring and immersive experiencesat the Park through your roles and responsibilities by engaging in HeritagePark initiatives that align with the overall mission and vision of the Park

Demonstrate commitment to workplace health andsafety by complying with Heritage Parks Health Safety and EnvironmentManagement System (HSEMS) following safe work practices reportingworkrelated incidents injuries and hazards participating in employertraining and adhering policies including the Code of Conduct and the WorkplaceViolence and Harassment policy

Actively support a positive work environmentthrough creating an atmosphere of inclusion engagement and fulfillment in linewith Heritage Park values

Demonstrate responsible stewardship of our peoplecollections and financial assets by ensuring that they are handled withintegrity sustainability and a focus on longterm benefits for theorganization and its stakeholders

Perform other duties as required

Required Qualifications:

University degree in a related field (e.g. nonprofit managementbusiness administration marketing communications); a Masters degree is anasset.

710 years ofprogressive experience in fundraising with a strong track record increating and managing largescale multimilliondollar campaigns.

Minimum of 4 years ina leadership role managing teams and fundraising initiatives.

Experience infinancial management including budgeting forecasting and reporting.

Proven ability todevelop and execute strategic fundraising campaigns particularly in capitaland major gifts.

Membership with AFP(Association of Fundraising Professionals) required.

Experience workingwith donor management software (Raisers Edge is an asset).

Strongrelationshipbuilding negotiation and communication skills.

Ability tocollaborate with senior leadership board members and key stakeholders.

Knowledge offundraising regulations donor stewardship and ethical standards.

Experience working ina nonprofit environment is an asset.

A Police InformationCheck (for candidates over 18 is required as a condition of employment.

Special Clothing and Equipment:

Appropriate costuming and safety equipment will beprovided by Heritage Park if applicable; and

Footwear as designated by the Heritage ParkCostume Department will be provided by the employee.

Special Working Conditions:

Some evening and weekend work may be required tosupport fundraising initiatives and donor events.

Occasional outdoor work and participation inHeritage Park activities may be required.

Must be able to travel within the region for donormeetings and campaign events.
