Job Description

Summary: We are looking for talented compassionate therapists to join our clinical team in our Outpatient Clinic in Magnolia. Options include FT PT contract. We will work with you to create a work schedule that best fits your needs and goals. If you are trained or certified in specialized treatments or have goals to work towards specialization we can support and assist with that. Under the supervision and direction of the Program Coordinator or Clinical Director and Outpatient Administrator the outpatient therapist will provide direct mental

health services to the clients and families of Methodist Family Health (MFH) in a clinic and/or

schoolbased and community setting. The clientele includes children adolescents adults (clinic only) and their families.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide direct clinical services that includes but are not limited to diagnostic assessment individual family and group therapies and crisis intervention. These services will be provided in a clinicsetting school setting but may also include communitybased settings as needed and appropriate including meeting HIPAA standards (i.e. clients home courts Boys & Girls Club etc.

Develop treatment plans in cooperation with clients families and treatment team members and perform reviews/updates specific to organization policies and procedures state and federal regulations.

Participate in departmental and program treatment team meetings staff meetings trainings and supervision.

Work with administrative support and utilization review staff to facilitate scheduling prior and continuing authorizations for services and transfers/discharges.

Complete all clinical and administrative processes including documentation in compliance with organization department and program policies and procedures and applicable state and federal regulations (Medicaid Joint Commission insurance etc. as it relates to content and timeframes for assessments treatment plans and review progress notes services provided billing meeting direct care expectations etc.

Provide timely communication verbally and in writing with supervisor colleagues clients families schools courts other professionals within and outside the organization etc. This includes returning phone calls writing letters emails etc.

Work with other professionals and programs within the MFH continuum of care and/or other

outside organizations and agencies to coordinate the best and most appropriate treatment for

MFH clients including transfers and referrals to other programs or agencies as needed.

Assist in preparation for and help to maintain compliance with state and federal licensing and

accreditation regulations (i.e. Medicaid Joint Commission Dept. of Human Services Dept. of

Health etc. as appropriate and needed.

Maintain professional licensure by completing required continuing education and providing copies of updated license and CEU certificates to Human Resources.

Specific to SchoolBased:

Participates in schoolbased family service or referral meetings IEP & 504 conferences parentteacher conferences open houses inservice trainings school and district committees etc.

Assist with evaluating students in the district not MFH clients who are in crisis and may need acute hospitalization.

Provide ongoing consultation and support to teachers principals and counselors.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Social Work Counseling or related field
  • Licensed in good standing by Arkansas Professional Board as an LMSW LCSW LAC LPC LPE LPEI PhD

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a schoolbased or community based behavioral health setting
  • Experience working with atrisk youth
  • Trauma Focused CBT certified or in progress
  • Other specialized training/certification or in progress (i.e. play therapy EMDR etc.
  • Ability to be flexible with schedule
  • Experience working in an Electronic Medical Record

Additional Mandatory Requirements:

  • Ability to document accurately and professionally
  • Must be physically capable to receive verbal and written directions
  • Remains current in Crisis Prevention Intervention Training CPR & First Aid
  • Must be willing and able to work with all patients of Methodist Family Health regardless of gender
  • Must have good auditory visual and olfactory ability
  • Use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects tools or controls
  • Must be able to maintain effective audio visual discrimination and perception needed for making observations communicating with others reading and writing and operating office equipment and other treatment equipment.
  • Must be able to use a telephone to communicate verbally and a computer to communicate through written means to review information and enter/retrieve data to see and read characters on a computer screen chart or other treatment items
  • Requires the ability to sit for long periods of time and intermittently walk stand stoop kneel crouch and reach with hands and arms.
  • Flu shot is mandatory and required for all positions (subject to qualified exemptions).
  • Methodist Family Health (MFH) requires its employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID19 pursuant to CMS regulation 86 FR 61555 with exceptions only as required by law.

Other: The individual employed in this position may accept other reasonable assignments which may be necessary for efficient operation of assigned programs as there is time and opportunity.

When an employee performs two or more different jobs for which different straight time hourly rates are established the employee will be paid during overtime hours as a rate not less than one and onehalf time the hourly rate established for the type of work he or she is performing during the overtime hours.

Level One Full Access:

Ongoing regular access to PHI of all forms while the employee is on duty and performing within the scope of his or her job as defined by the employees job description and Policy and Procedure. Such access must be for cause consistent with job responsibilities and related to patients claims audits reviews and other legitimate business purposes. (e.g. Physicians nurses and other clinicians).
