The International Compliance Specialist will serve the F1 international applicant and student population as their primary point of contact for assistance with maintaining status status changes OPT CPT or other International related SEVIS requirements and needs. This position will serve as a DSO (Designated School Official) and will handle the daytoday duties while collaborating with the PDSO often. The International Compliance Specialist will assist admissions and advising leadership in the successful attainment of both enrollment and retention goals as determined by the school administration.
Essential duties:
- Assist with management of DSOrelated tasks and general training to ensure accurate reporting and standing for the F1 Visa Program within the Student Exchange Visitor Information System (SEVIS).
- Serve as a Designated School Official (DSO) for the F1 Student Visa Program within SEVIS.3.
- Meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for each term as determined by Enrollment Management leadership while adhering to dynamic internal work processes.
- Provide support to frontline admissions and advising teams to assist with enrollment processes specifically related to international students
- Carry out enrollment strategies for admissions and advising leadership and faculty on occasion based on market research student data and enrollment needs.
- Ensure course registration requirements are met for all F1 Visa students.
- Accurately process update and maintain application data in the appropriate student information systems and process international documentation from the point of application to the issuance of I20 forms.
- Develop online programming in the form of webinars virtual office hours or other events to encourage the conversion of admitted oncampus students to issuance of I20s and new student enrollment.
- Collaborate with the Student Engagement team to plan and implement International Student Orientation each Fall and Spring semester and assist with planning educational and social programming throughout the academic year.
- Develop and implement networking strategies with internal and external stakeholders to increase the visibility of Regent University for international student enrollment.
Qualifications:
Sales/customer service/higher education experience
Strong preference given to those with management experience in a sales/customer service/higher education setting
DSO experience highly preferred
Possess a thorough knowledge of the regulations policies and procedures governing nonimmigrant students
Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate professionally over email phone Zoom and other modes of communication; must have excellent proofreading skills
Strong computer literacy in Microsoft Office webbased resources CRM systems and email
- Must maintain a satisfactory driving history
