Donaldson is seeking an External Reporting Senior (Accountant) to join our Financial Reporting team. In this role you will be responsible for assisting with monthly global consolidation in compliance with U.S. GAAP as well as support the preparation of certain notes within the Companys quarterly 10Q and annual 10K filings with the SEC. This is a highly visible position with the opportunity to collaborate and communicate with our team other teams and senior management both locally and globally on a regular basis.

This position offers you the flexibility to work in a hybrid model working some from home and some in Bloomington MN at Donaldsons international headquarters.

Role Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate legal entity consolidations with SAP Business Planning & Consolidations (BPC) to support external reporting.

• Perform the monthly global consolidation process to ensure proper elimination and researching and resolving data discrepancies. The process includes creating and entering journal entries and performing account reconciliations.

• Investigate and resolve intercompany variances.

• Prepare the monthly analysis of the impact of foreign exchange and currency translation adjustments.

• Prepare and review monthly consolidation support.

• Make recommendations to improve the efficiency and accuracy of the consolidations.

• Maintain documentation for the consolidation process and all entries posted in BPC.

• Work closely with the foreign subsidiaries on their monthly close and submissions to Corporate.

• Prepare the monthly pension entry monthly derivatives entry and other entries as needed.

• Prepare monthly reporting package for distribution to various internal stakeholders.

• Assist with developing global accounting policies.

• Participate in the quarterly and yearend public reporting process through preparation of certain notes to the financial statements in the Companys SEC form 10Q and 10K.

• Ensure appropriate accounting entry and disclosures through research of technical accounting guidance and peer companies SEC disclosures.

• Prepare Employee Benefit Plan financials and 11K financials. Participate in coordination of audit requests related to these financial statements.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting

• 4 years of related experience (SEC reporting at a public company) or 2 years of experience with a Big 4 audit firm

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience using an Enterprise Resource Planning system

• Knowledge of Oracle or SAP

• CPA License

• Increasing responsibility in current role or promotional experience

• Experience in interpretation and application of technical accounting rules and regulations

• Technical accounting

• U.S. GAAP

Annual Salary Range: $78400 $100900.Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including but not limited to applicable work experience training education performance.
