We are seeking a skilled Railway Telecommunication Engineer to join our Back Office Design Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design review and technical support of railway telecommunication systems for metro highspeed rail and conventional railway projects. The role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of telecom systems with other railway infrastructure components.
The Communication Engineer responsibilities will include among other:
- Design and Engineering: Develop detailed designs for railway telecommunication systems including Fixed Telecom (FT) and Operational Telecom (OT) networks such as CCTV PABX MCS Public Information system SCADA radio communications and backbone transmission networks.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare design drawings specifications and technical reports in compliance with international and projectspecific standards.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure designs adhere to relevant railway telecom and safety standards such as IEC ITU EN and IEEE.
- System Integration: Ensure seamless integration of telecom systems with E&M systems and civil infrastructure.
- Interface Coordination: Work closely with Civil Trackwork Power and Signaling teams to manage Telecom/SCADA system interfaces.
- Review & Validation: Conduct design reviews verification and validation of vendor submissions and contractor designs.
- Technical Support: Provide guidance and resolution for technical queries from construction and project teams.
- Risk & Quality Management: Identify risks and ensure quality assurance in the design process.
- Research & Innovation: Stay updated on emerging technologies in railway telecommunication and propose innovative solutions.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Electronics Telecommunications or a related engineering field.
- Experience in railway telecommunication design preferably in metro or highspeed rail projects.
- Proficiency in designing telecom systems such as CCTV TETRA LTE and IP/MPLS networks.
- Proficiency in designing Power and Facility SCADA system.
- Familiarity with telecom network design tools and software.
- Understanding of railway systems and SCADA integration.
- Knowledge of relevant railway and telecommunication standards (IEEE 802.3 and 802.11 IEC 60870/61850 ITUT IEC 62443.
- Experience with CAD tools (AutoCAD MicroStation) network design software and Microsoft Office suite MS Visio.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills for effective coordination and reporting.
- Ability to work in a multidisciplinary environment with global teams.
