Description
Theappraisal services internperformsdata collectiondata entry and general office functionswithinLycoming County PA.The data collection consists of collecting external measurements of residential properties.Theinternmust learn the projects appraisal software system and use it to input sketches and other property data into the computer. This internship will last approximately 8 weeks.
Responsibilities
- Drives to property locations getting in and out of vehicle.Physically walks around property and examines all buildings todeterminerequired property characteristics on various residential properties.
- Measures and inspects exterior of residential/agricultural buildings.Inspects interior of buildings if required.Accurately records property characteristics square footage angles sketches and dimensions onappropriate fielddocuments and/or mobile devices.
- Communicates effectively with the public to share the purpose of our visit to their propertyinquiresabout the interior of the property addresses questionsetc.ProfessionallyrepresentsTyler and the client to property owners and other members of the public handling field questions and complaints in a courteous manner and escalates to their supervisor as appropriate
- Perform data entryon appraisal projects. Input specific information intoappropriate propertyrecords within the appraisal softwaresystem.
- Transfer handdrawn sketches from field documents to computersystems.
- Prepares office correspondencesmailingsand other administrative requests as needed.
- Ensure computer sketch dimensions are consistent with fielddocuments andinform field staff of any discrepancies.
- File maps and property cards inappropriate sequenceand location.
- Verify the accuracy and perform quality control checks for individual and peer data entry work as instructed.
- Maintain personal production records andsubmitsto management.Occasionallyassistsupervisors with completing production logs.
- Professionally represent the company to property owners and other members of the public directing those with questions toappropriate resources.

Qualifications
- Keen attention to detail basic mathematics/geometry skills and strong organizational skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle administrative tasks and data entry effectively.
- Solid PC skills including basic knowledge of MSWord and Excel or their equivalents.
- Ability to communicate effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to build and maintain trusting relationships.
- Must be pursuing a bachelors or associate degree
