Pay Rate: Specialized CBWS Hourly Rate $18.71/hour). This pay rate aligns with the pay scale for Northfield Public Schools and is subject to an annual wage increase.

IMPORTANT: STUDENTS MUST HAVE A STATE OR FEDERAL WORK AWARD TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR COMMUNITY BASED WORK STUDY (CBWS) POSITIONS. Student CBWS work eligibility is subject to change due to work award redeterminations over the summer. This means even students who were a chosen applicant for the position may be ineligible to work if they do not have a state/federal work award come Fall 2025. Students who are unsure if they currently have a state or federal work award please contact before applying to find out what type of work award you have.

Description of the Position:

The Site Assistant assists in supervising program activities; interacts with children and youth of all ages and their families; assists in preparing the site for afternoon and evening activities; enforces program behavioral rules and safety guidelines and assists in the programming of site activities.

Work hours are onsite at all three Northfield Elementary Schools (Greenvale Spring Creek and Bridgewater) MondayThursday 3pm 5pm evenings available at Greenvale from 5:00pm 7:30pm on Tuesdays & Thursdays only. Positionsstart in midOctober through midMay.

Transferable Skills:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Assist Site Leader and Club Leaders/Teachers with youth activities which include:literacy skill development making connections for social and emotional learning leading art projects and facilitatingmovement activities. Monitor the behavior of students to ensure their safety as well as compliance with behavioralguidelines rules and standards of the program. Enforce all health and safety rules of the program including sanitaryrules playgroup rules rules of supplies and equipment. Assist with science and art projects and movement activitiesor lead various activities for K5 students such as homework help outdoor games and assisting with daily set upand clean up and additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

Be a dependable hardworking individual who likes to work with K5students. Be energetic patient and caring. Must be able to adapt to an everchanging environment. Must be able towork independently and on a team
