JOB DESCRIPTION
Radiology Medical Imaging Tech Iare health care professionals who perform a variety of medical imaging exams ranging from Xrays CT scans Mammography or MRI scans to help aid doctors in diagnosing and treating process of each varying patient of all ages. Radiology techs apply principles theories and techniques of pertinent modality to provide reliable test results. Radiology Techs Provide daily leadership by positioning patients and operating radiographic equipment to produce clear images ensuring the safety of each individual while maintaining records to assist in the department workflow.

DUTIES
- Assessing evaluating and testing patients.
- Preparing and positioning patients for imaging exams.
- Attending to the patients needs during imaging procedures.
- Applying and maintaining uptodate knowledge of radiation protection and safety practices.
- Independently performing or assisting a licensed practitioner in performing procedures such as mammograms Xray exams MRIs or administering radiation to cancer patients
- Independently performing or assisting a licensed practitioner in performing procedures such as mammograms Xray exams MRIs or administering radiation to cancer patients.
- Demonstrates the ability to use a personal computer and various software programs applicable to the position.
- Demonstrate the ability to operate applicable office equipment.
- Exhibit the ability to deal effectively interdepartmentally & with the public.
- Exhibit the ability to maintain confidentiality think and act independently with minimal supervision.
- Maintains regular consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location.
- And other duties as required.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification. (In relevant*modality)
- BLS certification.
- ACLS certification. (Preferred)
- AART American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification.
- A valid unencumbered Radiology license for the State.
- Image Wisely Pledge Certification or must have the ability to obtain this certification within 30 days of hire date.
- Image Gently Pledge Certification or must have the ability to obtain this certification within 30 days of hire date.
- Associate or Bachelors degree.(Preferred)
- Current vaccinations and health clearance certification.
- Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques.
- Must have at least 12 months of relevant consecutive acute care experience in this specialty.
- Must have at least 12 months of relevant consecutive acute care experience in a hospital setting.
- Highlevel interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with patients during stressful experiences.
- Strong organizational abilities and good communication skills
- The appropriate license to work in their state/county.
- Fluent in English.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have the ability to stand walk bend squat and stretch frequently.
- Must possess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs.
- Needs to have adequate hearing and visual acuity including adequate color vision.
- Requires fine motor skills adequate eyehand coordination and the ability to grasp and hand objects efficiently.
- Must be able to use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating and transferring in and out of bed chair or wheelchair.
- May be required to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must be able to use standard and other isolation precautions due to the threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids or infectious diseases.
- Needs to have the ability to communicate effectively through reading writing and speaking in person or by phone.
- May be required to periodic use of a personal computer.
