Were working with Inspira. Inspira is a leading employability skills organisation providing free professional careers advice and guidance to over 32500 people from Cumbria and Lancashire each year.

Were currently looking for a new Employability Advisor to help people get back into work find sustainable employment and ultimately change their lives for the better. This role is part of the Restart Scheme which helps longterm unemployed adults 6 months or more) find work in stable and secure environments where they can grow learn and thrive.

Workingoneononewith participants youll be providingtailored employment supportto break down barriers build confidence and equip people with the skills needed to reenter the job market. Whether itspersonalised career coaching retraining for a new sector or supported job searching youll be there every step of the way.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Empowering individualswith expert career advice motivation and confidencebuilding strategies
• Delivering intensive onetoone support helping participants identify their strengths and transferable skills
• Creating tailored action plansto help individuals achieve their employment goals
• Facilitating engaging group sessionsto support job search strategies and skill development
• Keeping up with the local job marketand building relationships with employers to create opportunities
• Managing your own caseload ensuring each participant receives ongoing support and guidance
• Meeting and exceeding targets making a tangible impact on peoples lives

About you

Were looking for candidates who have:

• A keen interest in supporting people with their employability skills and helping them secure new longterm careers.
• Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with service users along with employers and partners
• Proactive approach to identifying establishing and maintaining effective working partnerships for the benefit of customers
• Excellent IT and administration skills.
• Ability to work to deadlines with good prioritisation and time management skills
• A good standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSE grade 4 / C or equivalent);
• Experience of working in the employability sector with a Careers Information Advice and Guidance qualification is also an advantage but not essential.
