Overview: At Woodland Community College the Dean of Student Success plays a vital role in fostering an educational environment that promotes access success and equity for all students. This leadership position is responsible for developing and overseeing student programs and services that meet the diverse needs of our students while adapting to the challenges of a rapidly evolving world. The Dean provides strategic direction to create a supportive inclusive and engaging campus experience that enhances student learning retention and success from enrollment through graduation. Through collaborative leadership the Dean helps ensure Woodland Community College remains a place where students can thrive reach their goals and transform their futures. Basic Functions: Under the direction of the Vice President of Student Services the Dean of Student Success is responsible for providing leadership in the ongoing development and implementation of programs and initiatives that support student success equity engagement retention and completion. The Dean oversees assigned programs and services including but not limited to: CalWorks EOPS / CARE TRIO MESA Basic Needs Campus Life and Student Marketing and Engagement and services for additional designated populations. The Dean oversees student clubs and the student government manages assigned student grievances and supervises the services personnel and facilities comprising the areas of responsibility.

Required Qualifications
Required Qualifications Education & Experience Requirements: The minimum qualifications for service as an educational administrator shall be the following: Possession of a Masters degree; AND One year of formal training internship or leadership experience reasonably related to the administrators administrative assignment. Experience that indicates sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic socioeconomic cultural disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and personnel.
