Job Description

Explore an outstanding opportunity to join Thermo Fisher Scientific as a Manufacturing Technician II in the Richardson area. In this toptier role youll be part of a team that rigorously follows established methods to effectively carry out pioneering assembly tasks in a production lab. Your drive will ensure impeccable manufacturing testing and quality of our powerful mechanical and electrical products.

Responsibilities:

  • Complete intricate electrical and mechanical assemblies with precision.
  • Determine and solve intricate system problems to ensure product excellence.
  • Collaborate to maintain rigorous quality standards and adhere to production timelines.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • At least 5 years of experience in assembling and troubleshooting detailed electrical and mechanical components.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree in Electronics or Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record in environments passionate about operational efficiency.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong work ethic and outstanding communication skills.
  • Proficient in English both written and spoken.
  • Capable of lifting 35 pounds unassisted and working in varied positions for extended periods.
  • Expertise in using optical microscopes SEM or FIB for component inspection.
  • Proficient in reading engineering drawings and assembly instructions.
  • Diligent selfstarter able to work independently.
  • Familiar with quality management systems and safety programs.
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook.
