Principal System Administratorsinternally known as PrincipalAnalyst infrastructureWorkplaceServicescollaboratewith manyteams tosupportexciting critical programs with classified information system capabilities.Successin this role means you candevelop implement and maintain secure costefficientenvironmentsacross various classified programs. Program teams rely on yourcollaborationand guidance to define computing requirements andcreateendtoendsolutionstosolvecomplexIT infrastructure problems.
What You Will Do:
- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous RedhatEnterpriseLinux and Microsoft Windows environment.
- Lead and coordinate the Red Hat Installation and configuration.
- Responsible for provisioning installation/configuration operation and maintenance of systems hardware and software related to a Linux/Windows infrastructure for classified programs. Duties include but are not limited to server management (software and hardware); storage management (logical and physical); cross platform authentication and access management; data backup and restoration; software and license configuration; and workstation support
- fundamentals to include DNS DHCP AD and server replication methods.
- Working as a team member in afastpacedtechnologicalenvironment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS).
- Understandingand knowledge of Linux fundamentals to include DNS DHCP AD and server replication methods
- Understandingof data RAID data backup uses and technologies. Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
- Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
- Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
- Must be able todevelopsolutionsand documentation to a variety of technical problems.
- Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.

Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically requires bachelors degree and minimum of 5yearsof prior relevant experience or amasters degree and minimum of 3yearsof prior relevant experience
- Must be able to obtain a transferable U.S. government issued secret clearance prior to start date. U.S. citizenship isrequired as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
- Must have Red Hat Enterprise Linux experience
- Experience in one of the following: ActiveDirectory VMware MySQL networking administration experience.

- Experience with NISPOM JAFAN JSIG DFARS and/or DoD/RMF
- Indepth working experience in Windows Server
- Experience with data storage NAS and SAN technologies andsolutions
- Experience with using Information Technology project lifecyclemanagementprocesses.
- Experience using VMWare vCenter vSphere and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
- Experiencesupportingengineers in software simulations and hardware development.
- Experience with Microsoft WSUS SMECP and/or Exchange
- High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linuxenvironment
- Scripting Experience

The salary range for this role is 82000 USD 164000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
