What Youll Be Working On:
As a Technical lead eCommerce youll be an integral part of our Digital Experience Train working within the eCommerce team. Collaborating with innovative leaders possessing diverse skill sets youll contribute to the journey of delighting our customers. Join our global platform initiative to develop worldclass digital experiences that shape the future of Boses enterprise capabilities. This role embraces a software engineering culture that values collaboration participation and open discourse. As the team lead youll partner with business stakeholders and creative development teams to deliver online customer experiences that surpass expectations. The Commerce Technical Lead will leverage technical knowledge and organizational skills to comprehensively provide support for the Bose DTC website and related webbased initiatives with a focus on Content Management and Customer Experience.
Responsibilities/Functions
Actively participate in daytoday operations of the Commerce teams including technical configuration thirdparty integrations user management and ongoing maintenance for the Bose website
Engage and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into wellarchitected sustainable and scalable solutions that best leverage our Commerce and CMS platform to render an excellent Customer Experience
Implementing techniques to improve website loading speeds and overall performance
Designing websites to be accessible to users with disabilities
Developing guidelines for content creation including metadata and tagging to improve search engine optimization (SEO)
Collaborate with frontend and backend developers to ensure smooth integration of CMS driven content into websites and applications
Establish processes to organize various technical components content modules and data structures within the Content Management System
Provide technical guidance and support to content editors in managing and publishing content through the CMS interface
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMS configuration module integration and content publishing
Document technical specifications implementation details and configuration guidelines for CMS integrations and customizations
Collaborating with designers to ensure the website layout and interactions are intuitive and userfriendly.
Stay up to date with digital trends and best practices to continually improve the underlying data structure of the website
Provide support for other various website related projects and initiatives.
Qualifications Required
A bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience
At least 10 years of professional positionrelated experience
Tech Lead/Senior Frontend or full stack developer
Solid knowledge in JavaScript CSS HTML
Understanding of web standards accessibility optimization usability layout aesthetics and SEO
Experience in leading teams
Experience working with CMS is a plus WordPress Drupal Content Stack etc.
Willing to learn Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Content Stack (Experience with these is a PLUS)
Strong understanding of content modeling concepts and experience designing/organizing data structures content modules and relationships
Experience with version control systems e.g. Git) for managing configuration files and custom code
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
Ability to work independently and solve problems with minimal supervision
Strong organizational and problemsolving skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong customer service orientation preferred
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment using project management and repository management tools e.g. GitHub GitLab or Jira)
Experience supporting web systems in a higher education environment
Proven ability to stay current with rapidly changing technologies
