Job Description
We are excited to offer an incredible opportunity for a passionate and dynamic STEM Instructor to join our team at a wellestablished girls school in Brooklyn. This parttime position will focus on engaging 4th and 5thgrade students in handson STEM activities that foster creativity problemsolving and critical thinking. The STEM Instructor will work with students to explore and apply science technology engineering and mathematics concepts in exciting and meaningful ways.
Position Overview:
As a STEM Instructor you will have the opportunity to work directly with 4th and 5thgrade students guiding them through interactive and projectbased STEM lessons. Your role will be to inspire a love for STEM subjects help students make realworld connections and provide handson learning experiences that deepen their understanding of core STEM concepts. This is a parttime position with sessions held twice a month on alternate Fridays.
HandsOn STEM Instruction:
- Plan and deliver engaging handson STEM lessons that encourage exploration creativity and experimentation.
- Lead studentcentered projects and activities that challenge students to solve realworld problems through STEM applications.
- Facilitate group work and foster teamwork communication and collaboration among students as they engage in STEM activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in STEM Education Science Mathematics or a related field.
- Experience teaching elementary students
- Knowledge of inquirybased learning handson STEM activities and realworld STEM applications.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to engage diverse learners.
