Maplehill School and Farm seeks a licensed Special Education Teacher who will work with our educational team to develop curricula and support the students goals. The candidate should be familiar with current Special Education rules of law. They should have the communication skills to facilitate and coordinate services for students their families LEAs Maplehill faculty staff and administrators. The Special Educator is responsible for overseeing IEP goals including transition goals that support students next steps providing remedial instruction working with the team in developing and enhancing students social emotional and life skills gathering information needed for IEP meetings completing classroom observations and data collection on students progress.Candidates should have a strong background in middle and high school special education especially in differentiation best practices. An ability to build stable supportive relationships with 7th through 12th grade students is of utmost importance in this role.
