Job Description
TriCounty Upward Bound attempts to improve the academic and social skills of rural disadvantaged high school students who are potential firstgeneration college students. The Saturday Instructor position is a parttime three to five hour per month student assignment beginning September 2017. Availability: 1 positions effective September 2017 FOAP :
Essential Functions
Ability to effectively utilize computer technology. Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone. Ability to use sound judgment in decisionmaking. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to interact in an effective and appropriate manner with diverse populations the University community and the public. Ability to interact in an effective and appropriate manner with rural economically disadvantaged high school students. Ability to communicate mathematical operations and concepts clearly and effectively. Ability to demonstrate excellent organizational skills and consistency with administering discipline. Ability to teach concepts using a variety of instructional techniques in order to accommodate different learning styles. Attendance and punctuality are essential to this position.
